David’s Insight on “Pulse"
Built in 1932, Bixby Bridge is one of the tallest single-span arch bridges in the world today. Situated close to Carmel, the bridge and the cliffside setting are truly spectacular. It has become a huge social media sensation and is often overcrowded as such. This is a 7-minute automated frame average captured at sunrise. We were alone on this chilly January morning. The traffic trails disappearing around the curve feel like a heartbeat to me, the lines of an EKG, a pulse.
